Painting in Winter

This is my studio at home. It is wonderful in the spring and fall, but much too cold in winter. It is actually a sunporch and is not heated. Temperature only about one degree warmer than outside in the winter. So.
I go two afternoons a week to paint (oil paints)with a class at the University. The other artists are interesting, vibrant, amazingly talented and fun to be with. The class goes for three hours or more, and there is no talking except for breaks. Music of a wide variety is played (from an ipod)

I still do not understand much about i-pods and do not have one. But they are fascinating little things, very sleek and unimposing to have such power.

Our Professor tells us that in China, students are expected to bring food to share with the Professor, and does not discourage the practice here. Painting requires much energy.

Is that one of the paintings from your abstract show? Have you taken any of those to sell in the gallery? It might be worth a try..

You are right. I still have this one and several others from the abstract show.

The ARTZ group has been looking for a new place to show and has been offered some wall space at one of the banks. I might take a couple of these there.

I just get too busy carting stuff around and it is not the most fun. Interferes with thinking up a new project. But all the same, I will take your advice . . .
