Another day of over 100 degrees. I know it is August, but this is a long stretch even for August.
I have new glasses. first ones in four years. Those four-year glasses were great, never any problems, except they tended to slip down on my nose. The new ones don't do that, but I am just not used to them yet. The Dr. said I should give them a week, a fair trial, before saying they were not okay. So.
Also, the frames are different, more round, not much color to them. If I pass a mirror, I don't know who that is (in the mirror) at first.
My sister says she doesn't know who that "old woman" is, in the mirror at her house.
(just talked to her on the phone -- she is in florida ) It is hot there, too, at the beach -- the water is 87 degrees. And there were lots of jelly fish today. She had to watch her step.
"You weren't barefoot, were you?"
"Yes, of course I was. I just watched for the jelly fish. They say they sting."
"You don't want to find out! Put on your flip flops, please!"
(That was me, telling her to put her shoes on -- much good it does. Then she was telling me to put the new glasses back on, etc. You wouldn't know that she is eight years younger than me, to hear her talk.)
