Just finished reading Hilary Mantel's
A Place of Greater Safety. At first I didn't think I liked the book at all. But by the end, I know it is one that will stay with me for a long time. Subject is the French revolution. The book assumes you know something about it. It goes into many lives of the time, but particularly these three: Georges-Jacque Danton, Camille Desmoulins, and Maximilien Robespierre.
