Mystery Mushrooms? Toadstools?

Best crop of toadstools ever!

Those look like Agaricus Campestris to me, the meadow mushroom. Of course I can't be certain without actually seeing them in person, but there's a good chance I'm right. If so, they are edible, a close cousin to the 'shrooms you buy in the grocery store. Notice how they form a line? This is because the mushrooms rise from the edge of the mycelieum, which grows outwards from the center underground. You can find entire circles of mushrooms growing, these are called fairy rings.

You know, looking again, I realize I can't see the gills. If they are pink maturing to brown, then I may be right. But if they are white you may have a very poisonous mushroom there. Please don't eat them!

Thanks, Sharon. I don't know what color they were underneath since I had already knocked them down. They were beginning to turn brownish on top. If any more pop up, I will look them over better -- but just for identification --
