Winter Vacations and Movies

The California Girl and her husband are off to Florida (from California!) Both are great vacation states. I'm envious because they are also going to visit my sister. I'd love to see them all, but will get that chance later in the year.

My winter "vacation" is being spent watching old movies on TV. I just discovered that I have the "on demand" channel. Didn't even know I had it. don't know how long it's been there, but I really like it.

Recently watched Marvin's Room. Diane Keaton and Meryl Streep and a very young Leonardo di Caprio. It was a good movie. but if I had seen Diane Keaton smile one more time . . . .
Even so, it was a good movie. Diane and Meryl were sisters who hadn't spoken or even seen each other in 20 years. Leonardo played Meryl's son, who had just burned down their house in another state. Marvin is their father, who has been dying (Diane says) for twenty years. Aunt Bessie is marvelously dotty.
